For clarity, the term "Lovnar" refers collectively to the Lovnar App and Website, as well as either component individually.

If we make any material changes to our privacy practices, we will post a revised Privacy Policy on this page. You agree that it is your responsibility to regularly review our Privacy Policy for updates.

This Privacy Policy is read in conjunction with, and deemed incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. By using Lovnar, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease all use of Lovnar.

1. Types of Data Collected

We collect the following types of data:

1.1 Personal Data

Information that can identify you individually, including:

  • Name, email address, mobile number, birthdate, gender, and payment details.
  • Social media account information if you log in via Email, Google, or Apple.
  • Voice Recordings: If you use the "Mystery Swipe" feature, you record your voice during profile editing. Users must record only their own voice and avoid offensive, inappropriate, or mischievous content. These recordings are used to verify your profile and improve matching.

1.2 Anonymised Data

Information that cannot identify you personally, such as usage statistics, aggregated demographics, and device data.

2. Information That We Collect Automatically

When you use Lovnar, we automatically collect:

  • Device identifiers and IP address.
  • Device type, operating system, browser type, and app version.
  • Geographic location when the app is active.
  • Preferences and settings (language, time zone, privacy settings).
  • App activity, including buttons clicked, features used, and session duration.

We may use third-party analytics providers to help us understand usage trends. No personal identifiers (like name, email, or phone) are shared with these third parties.

3. Information You Choose to Provide

3.1 Registration and Profile

  • You may register using Email, Google, or Apple. By doing so, you authorize us to access certain account information (e.g., name, profile picture, email, and friends in common).
  • You may voluntarily provide additional profile details (gender, location, biography, or images). These may be visible to other users.

3.2 Third-Party Sites and Social Media

  • Lovnar may contain links to third-party websites or social media platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy policies or data security.
  • Features like "like" buttons may share information from your social media accounts; please review their settings if you wish to restrict sharing.

4. Data Retention

  • 4.1 Inactive Accounts: Accounts not accessed for 2 years will be soft-deleted.
  • 4.2 Soft-Deleted Accounts: Retained for 3 months, then permanently deleted. Banned accounts are retained for 1 year before deletion.
  • 4.3 Legal or Business Needs: Some data may be retained longer due to subpoenas, disputes, or legal obligations.
  • 4.4 Final Deletion: All final deletions occur after DPO approval at the end of each calendar month.

5. Use of Your Information by Others

We may share information with carefully selected third-party service providers for:

  • Storage and processing of personal data.
  • SMS verification.
  • Email notifications and marketing.
  • Auditing or legal compliance.

We do not sell or rent personal data. All third parties are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

6. Transferring Personal Data

  • Personal data may be stored in Singapore or with reputable international cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Users outside Singapore consent to data being transferred to Singapore for processing and storage.

7. Your Consent

  • By using Lovnar, you consent to the collection, use, retention, disclosure, and transfer of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.
  • You may withdraw consent by contacting our DPO at Lovnar email, but this may limit your access to Lovnar features.

8. Access and Correction of Personal Data

  • You can update or correct your data via the app or by sending us via the form in the Contact page.
  • Requests to access data (not done via the app) may incur a reasonable administrative fee.
  • You may request deletion of your personal data by sending us via the form in the Contact page.

9. Minor's Privacy

  • Lovnar does not allow persons under 18 to register.
  • If we discover a minor's account, we will delete the data and terminate the account.

10. Do-Not-Call ("DNC") Provisions

  • You may register your phone number with DNC to reduce marketing calls.
  • We respect your preferences and will stop contacting numbers registered with DNC, unless you previously consented.

11. Security Measures

  • Lovnar uses reasonable security measures, including encryption, firewalls, and access controls.
  • Personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
  • We retain data only as long as necessary for business, legal, or contractual purposes.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Singapore.
  • Disputes should first be directed to the DPO at Lovnar email for amicable resolution.
  • If unresolved within 30 days, disputes will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Singapore.
